This is a grating for roughing coarse materials where cleaning and the removal of the solids collected are performed by means of an automatically operated comb, normally by hydraulic oil.
It consists of a double metal frame with both firmly fastened together by strong attachment and anchoring sections.
One of the frames acts as support and holds the bars that form the grating and which define, through their spacing, the size or passage of the grating desired.
The other frame, called carriage, holds the cleaning system and the guide rails so that the comb teeth get between the bars on the grating, without resting on them, whereby they perform the proper extraction of the roughing solids.
The upward-downward movement of the automatic grating is electrical and the clamping of the comb, in the same direction of the flow, is hydraulic oil.
