Quilton-Vacono domes are three- dimensional structures consisting of a self-supporting lattice covered by triangular panels, all made of aluminium alloy. The dome is designed, manufactured and installed in accordance with national and international regulations and compliant with the latest amendments to new European standards:
- API 650, ninth edition, July 1993
including Appendices E, G
- Eurocode 1, July 1994, based on ECCS
TC12, 1987

STRUCTURE
The structural analysis of Quilton-
Vacono domes is based on three areas:
- Tensional analysis: study of tensions
and internal and external distortions
- Analysis of localised stability:
buckling, torsion, warping of the core of
the beam, etc
- Analysis of overall stability
